Better equipment means better access to high-quality healthcare
EU funding through the CROSSCARE project ensured the purchase of medical and research
equipment for both project partners.
🔬 The County Clinical Emergency Hospital Pius Brinzeu Timisoara (SCJUT) has acquired four new
cutting-edge pieces of equipment used for advanced cancer diagnostics and research activities,
located in the OncoGen Centre of the hospital.
🔬 The General Hospital Đorđe Jovanović Zrenjanin has purchased 17 types of surgical
equipment, including Imagistics machines and operating room furniture, used for cancer patients.
📌 The new equipment is used to collect tumor samples and run advanced genetic and
immunophenotypic tests, providing cancer patients with precise diagnostics that enable
personalized treatments.
📌 By the end of the project, SCJUT will provide accurate results for 300 patients using NGS, flow
cytometry, qRT PCR, cytotoxicity assays, and state-of-the-art surgical facilities.
